| Section 40 of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002 declares Director and officers of FIU-IND as public servants. |
| "40. The Chairperson, Members and other officers and employees of the Appellate Tribunal, the Adjudicating Authority, Director and the officers subordinate to him shall be deemed to be public servants within the meaning of section 21 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (45 of 1860)." |
